Georgie`s Cafe in Cottonwood

Great little hometown cafe. We had BLT, onion rings and a half Belgian waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. A diverse menu. All we had was good.

+JMJ...posted Wednesday, 26 September 2018. Homey atmosphere. The menu has a HUGE selection! The waitstaff were very friendly. My order of pancakes was a serving of three plate sized pancakes. They were tasty as any homecooked pancakes could be. The meals ordered by my three friends looked very good. I can't wait to return so that I can try the Eggs Benedict. Pricing is competitive and the portions are large. Great restaurant to leisurely enjoy a very good meal. Returned Tuesday, October 9 October 2018 for the Georgie's version on Eggs Benedict. The main dish with a side of hashbrowns was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

Wow! They all genuinely seem to care that you have an amazing experience here. Food was AWESOME! Service was THE BEST. Our server was so thorough. I requested a special pancake order and the cook personally came out to ask if it was to my liking. Loved it.

Went there on the suggestion of a friend who said they have good gyros. Otherwise this place is creepy with nursing home decor and elderly customers who stared at us. So we went to the outside patio for a change of scenery but it was taken over by smokers with giant ash trays of cigarette butts and the wafting stench of nicotine. The gyros was quite good but next time I’ll call ahead for take-out.

Great down home cooking. Friendly faces everywhere. And that Peggy, she makes the best "Grandma style" desserts. Just delicious.

Peggy..your hostess has a great small town, great staffed,great food, everybody knows your name cafe..She gives back every year to the community by donated the best Thanksgiving dinner spread ever to anyone and everyone. Best food at it's best price!! Thank you Peggy!!

This place is awesome. I don't want to use the word 'cheap,' because while it's inexpensive, the quality is not low. How about, great value? Excellent food, good quality diner fare served with lovely service. All at a great price. We always stop here when we're near Cottonwood and we're never disappointed. If you're looking for a family-run breakfast or lunch spot, this is the hole in the wall the locals know. Skip the Denny's, hit Georgie's!

Be aware if you come for the Dog Friendly Patio, it is also a very Smoke Friendly Patio. This is where all the employees and even customers from inside come to smoke it up. Its really unclassy. And do you really want to eat somewhere where pretty much all the people making and serving your food are smokers?? I know, because I watched them all come out and poison everyone. Its really not that big (4 tables) so I hope you love cigarette smoke with your food. The food was ok. Pricing was ok. Not many Vegetarian options at all. Oh and there are flies outside as well.

Very racist staff, I arrived with my fiance today who is black, mind you I am from out of Phoenix and never had this happen. But anyway, the restaurant had maybe 3 customers and my fiance and I were sat in the way back of the restaurant away from anyone. Didn't think much of it at first but it became clear when every customer after us who was white was sat at the front. Waitress was very obvious about trying to push us out the door and pay our bill. Very awkward stares from all the staff. Extremely unprofessional and biased. I understand it's an old town full of boomers who don't understand multiracial couples but it's still no excuse for the way were treated. Will not return.

Love this place great food and service good prices

Great place! I would call it historic...because it's been here since forever and still going strong. I give four stars for not having real butter and milk/cream for coffee. It's a problem in multiple American diners. I can imagine the cost would change, but it's totally worth it. Let's end with the tiny plastic containers for creamers 🙏

I am not a fan of eating out for breakfast but this is a nice small town dinner. They were more than willing to adjust your order as desired. Great place to visit with friends while having breakfast.

The good is good. Our waitress was a joy....we left her a very nice tip! Everybody was friendly, welcoming & helpful.

Home cooking. Great food. Great prices. Everyone treats you like family.

This place is just awful. Looks dirty and run down which it is. I could not eat here. Everything is way over priced and I mean overpriced. Walked in and walked out. Lots of attitude by waitress as well. Could not pay me to go back!

Local place with good, basic food. Specials every day give good value. Older building shows some wear. Today, 3/18/18, we shared the Texas Bone In Ham & Eggs Breakfast ($14.95). Picture is after I split the meal between us. I comes on two plates to begin with, with the ham hanging off of the larger, and the eggs & home fried potatoes on the smaller. Excellent ham!!! With two cups of coffee, the bill was $18 and change.

A lot of weight to get a menu or to get noticed I guess it was still pretty early in the day in the morning I was there I didn't like their coffee the coffee was just colored water I thought but I'm sure many people like this place I was there for 9 minutes and 7 Seconds before my order was taken I did leave or got my ticket 20 minutes later I guess it's a good place to go with a few people so you can chat if you have the time

Old school breakfast diner serving full plates of food in a residential area of Cottonwood. The Mr had country Benedict (eggs over sausage that’s covered with breakfast gravy) and a mound of country potatoes; I had eggs with giant link sausages and country potatoes. I also had what I thought would be a small side of grits. Neither of us finished our food. Tasty food, good service.

A very nice family cafe. We had a yummy Thanksgiving dinner today. Hot and very tasty. We were served so sweetly.

Spanakopita and pita bread is great, as are the biscuits and gravy. Scrambled eggs not great, may be from a carton. Good eats for the buck, except the small burger. Fries are extra price and skimpy amount. Our Sunday go to cafe.

last night was our first time we went to this good restaurant. But It is obviously not the last time. We had a good time with the generous service, with the first-rate meal and fine drinks and with the honest pay. We will absolutely visit there in a short time.

We come here for free Thanksgiving breakfast every year, and it was phenomenal as always! Everyone is so friendly and kind, makes you feel right at home. The turkey is astounding!

Try the country gravy scramble its awesome the staff have been there for years there all great .! I will be coming back

They close at 3pm M-F. We show up at 2:30, they refuse to serve us and say they are close because no one is there. That’s just bad customer service.

Been going to Geories for 11 years I give it 5 stars. Eat there every week.
